photoblog image Clumber Park Chapel - 2

Clumber Park Chapel - 2

One of my early postings (2nd.January) was the spire of this church taken laying on the ground!

This is a more standard shot of the building as you approach it from the car park. The different colours of the brick and stonework are enriched when the sun is shining and this required quite a bit of perspective adjustment in Photoshop.

Clumber Park is North-east of Nottingham and is where my recent bridge photos were taken on the same day.

The tower looks immense for that chapel, Brian, and the color tones stopping at the bottom almost makes it look out of place. One wonders about the history and what the architect was thinking. What a find.
Brian Walbey: I must look up the history of this Ginnie as no doubt we will go that way again.

I love the architecture of this Church, the brick color is very nice, you captured this very well
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, I like the different brick colours as well.
Love the colours of the brick and stone. There is a little freebie program called ShiftN, which I use for straightening things up. It's a download and I find it useful.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, have downloaded ShiftN and will give it a try.

The contrasting stone work is lovely along with the blue skysmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tracy, and the sky is the original.
