photoblog image Church Window

Church Window

A local village church has a Flower Festival every May Bank Holiday and this was taken in the church at one of those.

I like the picture very much, it seems to have a nice mood, but it is unfortunate that a few of the lighter flowers are a bit burnt out.

Romantic and old-fashioned.
Brian Walbey: I hadn't thought about the romantic touch Jewlaya, I must be getting old!
The whole feel of this is Miss Marple's England. I like it Brian
Brian Walbey: You often find timeless little scenes like this in some of our churches Bill, glad you like it.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Tim, I have since taken a similar shot the following year which I may put up later on.
Classic shot, Brian. The light in old churches is often magical.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Dave, it was lucky that the position of the church is such that the late afternoon light comes in that way, and yes, it is a nice soft light.
Beautiful image with the combination of flowers, sunlight and shadows.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Helen, it is a nice combination isn't it.
