photoblog image Self Portrait

Self Portrait

Well I did say it would be a self portrait, unfortunately this modern sculpture I was photographing had a big triangular hole in the middle of it.  This was taken in the gardens at Chatsworth House when they had a display of such works, and it was pouring with rain at the time.

I should have known you'd be up to some trickery, Brian! And actually, you really have to stare at this to figure it out. Congratulations! Now we can say we can see right through you!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie. You get the prize for the best pun of the day!
Very good Brian...a good laugh to start the weekend!
Brian Walbey: I hoped people would be amused and obviously some are.
I can think of only one thing people do in that semi crouching position. Took me ages to work this one out .. very interesting. richard
Brian Walbey: I don't know quite how to take that Richard. I certainly wasn't!

Very clever! Took me several seconds to work out what I was seeing! Nicely done!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan. I didn't see the full potential until I got back home to be honest.
Certainly had to look hard Brian, looks like someone has chained your feet down as well.
Brian Walbey: I hadn't noticed that aspect with the chains Les. There is always something extra to a picture you don't see isn't there.

LOVE it, saw the chains too, now I know it happens to you too, sometimes I am so 'into' my own picture that I overlook things, others do notice them.
Just love this picture, nice composition, thanks for letting me know!!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, as you can see several people enjoyed the joke.
