photoblog image Bradgate Park

Bradgate Park

A short way from Leicester, near a village called Newtown Linford, is a large area called Bradgate Park.  This stretches to 850 acres and includes the River Lin, Cropston Reservoir,  a steep hill with a folly on top called the Old John, a deer herd and the ruins of the family home of Lady Jane Grey, one of Henry VIII's wives.

It was such a beautiful morning on 3rd.Febuary last year that we took a walk in the lower areas of the park.  This is a collage of some of the sights we saw bathed in the beautiful midwinter light.

I can't believe you have no people in the shots. Where were they all? This is a great selection of images. But I would say that wouldn't I. smile richard
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, you've got to be biased living just down the road. I just made sure there were no people in my shots on this occasion.

This is a great postcard again, bottom right would be a nice post one time, like them very much.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, yes your probably right about the lower right picture. That area is where my posting of 10th.February came from.

Actually, Brian, several of these would look great as individual postings!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I might consider that later on.

A lovely collage - I agree with Ginnie. There are some great shots in here that could be posted alone.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Jewlya.

Another cracking collage Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, you know by now I like doing these rather than post each individually.

So you're going to be printing this out and selling it at a craft fayre? Should do - it'd sell.

Yes, I reckon they'd all work as stand alone pictures, but then the idea of ma king a collage like this is to get several views over and done with in one go wink
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ellie, as I said to Bill I like to do them all at once, but I might post a few seperate ones when you've all forgotten this.

I am down in Leicester most weeks these days - I shall have to pick a good weather day and go and find this place!
