photoblog image Thoresby Hall

Thoresby Hall

A few of you liked my Clock Tower picture a while ago and I recently came across these pictures of Thoresby Hall, Nottinghamshire, of which the tower is part, and so I decided to put together a simple collage of the house from the gardens.

These were taken with my first simple digital compact so there is no attempt at pictorialism but I hope you like them anyway.

For those from abroad it was houses like this the wealthy used to live in with loads of servants to look after them. It is now a hotel owned by a well known U.K.chain and is very nice to stay at for a few days.

A case of the sum being greater than the parts. This is a well put together collage
Brian Walbey: Thanks BIll, I like doing collages, I do a lot for a church I belong to of special occasions and they are being filed away for posterity.

What a splendid way to show off this magnificent structure, Brian. It IS a postcard!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, as I said above it really is a nice place to stay particularly when the weather is nice for the gardens and grounds.
