Duet on M.V.Agusta's

This one is especially for Neil (and his dad) and was taken at Silverstone in August, 1973. It shows teammates Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read (my favourite rider) peeling off into Club Corner in the 500cc.race. I have several of this meeting and may put a collage together in the future  for old times sake, if I get round to scanning the slides.

Damn right I like Brian!! I was at this race (only 11years old) as my Dad was riding in the 125 (I think). Seeing these 2 great riders brings back so many good memories of the magic of the old days of 500 racing. I clearly remember watching Ago one year, going over the mountain at Cadwell, front wheel in the air, climbing up the tank to try to keep the bike down!!! Thank you ever so much mate. Kindest regards, Neil.
Brian Walbey: Will get the programme down from the loft sometime Neil and see if your dad was in it. Glad you liked it.

Nice tribute to a nice guy, thanks for the story and sharing these pictures.
Brian Walbey: It's nice to bring back a memory for someone sometimes isn't it Astrid.
Thanks for this beautyful capture. Reminds me of the time when I was supporting Jim Redman and Mike Haylwood.

You picked the right person to show this to, Brian. I know Neil is a happy camper. Thanks for bringing back the good times for him.
Great bit of nostalgia...hope you find time to scan the slides!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, can I suggest you look me up on Friday. I'll say no more.
Great capture of two fine riders Brian, I once saw Agostini racing, a great rider.
