In the 1770’s the finest room in Wordsworth’s House in Cockermouth would have been on the first floor, this being the Drawing Room where important visitors in particular would have been entertained. The carpet has been specially woven to recreate the ‘large and handsome’ Wilton carpet it is known the Wordsworth’s owned.
Thanks for all your comments yesterday, I did read them all and look at your images also, but hospital visits etc.meant I didn't have time to do more than that, and today will be the same. Maureen was doing fairly well yesterday, although the Morphine based pain treatment was causing some nausea problems which hopefully will soon clear up, and they hadn't done more than get her out of bed at that time.
