Calke Abbey Garden - Bits & Pieces 4/7

Continuing at Calke Abbey a few miscellaneous shots taken in or near the garden I showed last week.  Every garden needs to be watered every now and then and this tap was handily placed down near the vegetable area of the gardens.

You have composed this shot of reticulation hardware very well, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ray.
It's very nicely done - and it makes for a great image!
Brian Walbey: Just goes to show interesting, if not arty, pictures can be taken of everyday objects.

A sturdy piece of equipment
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed it is Chris, it won't have been needed much the past few days that's for sure.
I doubt it has been much used this Summer, great crisp shot.
Brian Walbey: I quite agree with you Martin, especially the last few days!

Did you turn it on and run away Brian? Well there is no drought or hosepipe ban. I have been entitled to water my garden all summer only sadly it did not need it.
Brian Walbey: No I was a good oy and kept my hands on the camera Chad.
nice sunlight falling there
Brian Walbey: It was a lovely day when we went round this garden.

Well spotted and captured Brian must remember to cover mine up before the frosts come.
Brian Walbey: Good idea, although we didn't have much in the way of frost last winter and I left my outside tap uncovered.
a traditional outdoor item of tappage Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed Bill and some nice pipeage it is attached to as well.

Good to see how the garden works, Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed, another bit of garden bric-a-brac tomorrow.
I really like this shot Brian - looks like a beautiful sunny day smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin, yes it was a lovely Autumn day.

Well seen, makes a good shot.
Brian Walbey: Thanks John.
This is what I like on SC... A photo like this I'd never think to shoot. It makes for a good photo though. You guys & gals have some great ideas.
Brian Walbey: I guess shots like this come from over 40 years in Camera Clubs, in that area "straight shots" generally don't do well in competition, but that doesn't stop me doing normal photography most of the time.
My type of picture Brian! The light is superb.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I like doing this type of shot at times.
Nicely caught, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme, something different for a change.
That stand-pipe stands out well against that lush green Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed it does Fred, something a bit different for a change.
