Having said I would try a bit of candid work this is the first of four I took at our visit to the Churnet Valley Railway on 20th.April a very dull and dismal day.

I liked the way these four men were talking about who knows what before it was time for the train to leave.

This well could've been a fifty year old photograph, Brian. Actually, that was I initially thought, until I've read your narrative.

The great thing about pictures like this is that you can weave your own story around it. The chap in the cab is certainly holding forth about something..complaining I reckon!! Good start to the series Brian

It definitely looks like a thing of the past, Brian. Well done!

Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I added a bit of noise to the image to give it a very slight grainy effect. The dull cold weather took care of the rest.

That's nice, grainy feel for a 'photo' of that time and I wouldn't worry about the chap's 'trainers' they look rather like walking boots to me.

It makes me think of time when people could stop and chat, instead of feeling pressured to rush, rush, rush all the time. It's nice.
