Grasmere Village Miscellany 7/7

These are a couple of old cottages in the centre of the village, the one on the left selling all sorts of interesting bits and pieces. It goes without saying my supermodel, this time in a blue anorak, had to have a good look round, I do recall she managed not to buy anything this time!

Always good to have a poke round Grasmere, Brian. Fond memories.
Brian Walbey: Yes it's a nice place if somewhat busy.

What a nice remembrance...I like the green framing and the curvy road on the composition..
Brian Walbey: This old building is set in a nice place in the centre of the village. It is most unusual for Maureen, my wife, to look in these sort of shops and not buy anything!

Well your supermodel certainly enhances this charming scene Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, you've made her Sunday smile

Even from the thumbnail, I immediately recognised the building. Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread shop is just off to the right; I can't pass that without buying something. The garden of this cottage often has a storyteller to entertain all those who want to listen.
Brian Walbey: I know the shop you mean, we bought some, delicious.

I am sure Maureen was tempted, Brian
Brian Walbey: I'm sure she was Lisl, we bought some lovely Gingerbread from a shop nearby instead.
Hi Maureen!
Brian Walbey: There are times when she is in just the right place in my pictures and others she isn't, this was the former!!

I can understand that Maureen was tempted to buy anything.
Brian Walbey: I was very surprised she came away from the shop empty handed.
nice supermodel Brian (ops)... Penny would have to buy something in this boutique... i like the stucco walls of the building....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter.
Got to give these places a good lookover, although I suspect that in a place like Grasmere all the good stuff will have gone to the auction rooms long ago!
Brian Walbey: Worth a visit but not in the main holiday season I would think.
She is probably checking out the plants too, like I would.
Brian Walbey: She always checks out the plants whenever we go anywhere mary, hence her plant filled garden.
I'm so familiar with these images, Brian - brings back many fond memories!
Brian Walbey: I thought you would find Grasmere familiar.
