Grasmere Village Miscellany 4/7

6/9/18 Grasmere Other #4

Taken on the walk out towards the tearoom I mentioned on Tuesday I thought this quite a nice spot to live at apart perhaps from the middle of winter when the fells will be covered with snow.

Your fine shot draws the viewer into the farm...I like that, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Those walls made the perfect lead in.
Jolis petits murs en pierres, j'aime beaucoup.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martine.

It might get a bit bleak in winter
Brian Walbey: It would be too cold for me.

I like the low angle of this shot Brian, or was this taken by your kneecam?
Brian Walbey: Taken almost on my knees Chad, the walls make a good lead in.
i agree with your assessment on the livability of this place, Brian - inviting shot.

I now where this, too, I think. The tearoom with the boats is just up the road to the left, the village is off it its right and the lake is behind you and there is a hotel directly behind you on the corner (one I've consideried staying in when not self catering).
Brian Walbey: You are absolutely spot on with your knowledge Alan.
This is a pure delight.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, sometimes it changes a shot completely by bending down to a lower level, trouble is getting back up at my age smile
Nice framing and perspective. I love shots like this.
Brian Walbey: Sometimes it pays to get lower down for a shot.

It certainly looks inviting!
Brian Walbey: Apart from mid-winter as far as I'm concerned.
nicely framed Brian... wonderful composition....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter.
Many places look tempting in the summer months, but Winter must be a challenge
Brian Walbey: I wouldn't fancy being there in the snow.
Nice pov, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom, worth bending down for.
Que cette photo est belle ...merci !
Brian Walbey: Thans very much Claudine.
The snow would put me off Brian. That and not being near to ALDI
Brian Walbey: It would me also Bill. We have got a big Aldi in Lougborough and now they are building another one on the other side of town plus Lidl are now building a shop in the middle of town.
It is just a gorgeous place isn't it!
Brian Walbey: It certainly is, shame we tourists crowd it out all the time smile
