Donington Aeropark Extra 2/2

A lot of the time we were there aircraft were taking off bound for various destinations both in the U.K .and Europe and from the banking built to be able to watch the take-offs it didn’t take long to get quite a collection of shots of planes from all the different companies who fly from the airport. This is another from Jet2, I have no idea where it was going to but quite a few enthusiasts had radio equipment so they could tune into the pilot/control tower conversations to find out what was going on and when.

I like watching airplanes - but don't know much about them.
Brian Walbey: I like watching planes also but I just don't understand the science of how they stay up in the air.

It is always impressive to see these planes up close, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Ray, the runway is only a short distance from the public viewing area unlike bigger airports.

It looks like a nice modern plane Brian
Brian Walbey: For what little I know about planes they all look to be fairly up-to-date at East Midlands Airport.
Nous avons une base près de chez nous et j'aime beaucoup regarder ces avions ..

You must have seen quite a variety there, Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed, there are several different airlines and plane types fly from East Midlands Airport.
I had no idea there is radio equipment available that would allow you to tune into pilot/control tower conversations, Brian. Somehow that makes me a bit nervous.
Brian Walbey: It has been possible to buy radio receivers to tune into those conversations for a very long time, but one can only listen as far as I understand the situation.
nicely frames just to the left of center Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter, I had a bit of help from the Crop tool.
Jet 2 seems to survive the bargain airline business
Brian Walbey: Indeed it keeps on going when others fall by the wayside, so to speak!
cool!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Rob.
