Coniston Church 5/5

Last Friday I posted a picture of the Donald Campbell memorial in the centre of the village. Well this memorial window is at the rear of the church below the balcony, it was quite difficult to photograph but I hope this has done it justice.

Very good, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, it was a difficult thing to photograph because of its position.
You did a good job, Brian, its a fine tribute.

A wonderful design!
Brian Walbey: I thought so to.
When you get better year after year, that's quite an accomplishment, Brian. Well done.
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Ginnie until he tried once too often!

It's a fine tribute touch a pioneer. Interesting to see the increase in speed over the three years.
Brian Walbey: He tried once too often though didn't he.
It is very fine. I don't remember seeing this when we were there
Brian Walbey: I'm wondering if it was put there after the car and his body had been recovered a few years ago.

What a fabulous memorial Brian, a hero to those of out generation. I like the outline of the lake on the glass.

Heh, I was just thinking that my car can do 200 - then I saw that Campbell's was in mph (not kph) AND it was on water. My brain was in the wrong gear.
Brian Walbey: I wouldn't want to do that speed in mPH on the road let alone water, he tried once too often though didn't he.

This is a very unusual window you captured very well. I sometimes wonder about the memorial windows in English churches.
Brian Walbey: I thought this was very well done, this man was famous the world over in his time, like all daredevils he tried to break a record once too often.
this is a wonderful memorial and yes Brian you have done it justice... good job M8....petersmile
Brian Walbey: It is and thanks very much Peter.
Definitely yes, a beautiful plaque
Brian Walbey: Very well done isn't it.
