Wonderful display of the different pumpkins. I see the wine is ready to have the wintersleep in order to produce grapes next year?
Brian Walbey: It is a very long greenhouse and the vines run nearly all the way along it.
Jolies couleurs, j'aime la présentation.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martine.

A very pleasing still-life, Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Lisl.
Lots of good ones to pick from, Brian. And LOTS of seed to roast. Yum-Yum.
Brian Walbey: Personally I'm not into eating Pumkin like things but they do make for good pictures.

This must be autumn, the vines have died down and the squashes are stored
Brian Walbey: The staff were busy putting the greenhouse to bed while we were there, this was early October.
Pumpkin pie anyone?
Brian Walbey: No thnaks, not for me, I'm not a lover of any of that sort of thing.

I love to see vines trained in such places Brian.
Brian Walbey: It would be nice to see the vines in full growth, this was early October.
I'm looking at the old dormant grape vine it is quite a feature

I wonder why there were upside down posts on the potted plants.
Brian Walbey: The little upside down pots are there to avoid anybody working with or near them getting poked in the eye by the sticks. All of the plant supporting sticks in our (Maureen's) garden have little thingies on the end to avoid accidents like that happening.
They've done an excellent job of restoring the old glasshouses.
Brian Walbey: They certainly have Tom, they are really quite long.

a still- life of the autumn
Brian Walbey: Very much so Philine.
Halloween sales? smile
Brian Walbey: This was just before Halloween, there were some Pumpkins for sale in another part of the garden.

Lots of potential for pumpkin soup, or, to appeal to the Americans, pumpkin pie.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Alan, although I am not a lover at all of things like Pumpkins and Marrows etc.
