photoblog image Ooh, My Favourite Shop!

Ooh, My Favourite Shop!

I was processing this shot taken in Hebden Bridge and thought, "This can't be true?"

Who would have guessed that the Duke of Droitwich was in the same place as me on that particular day, or was he?

(He even comes without a shadow, magic, or perhaps I don't know how to do that!)

Excellent!

Would have been even better if you had caught Bill ogling the window display of an Adult Toys shop, Brian.
Brian Walbey: If he's like me Ray he's too old to enjoy those sort of toys! if you believe that you'll believe anything smile)

LOL at Ray. You actually did a great job, Brian. You could have fooled me!!!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I thought you might enjoy this one.
he he, classic. The only tell tale is the levitation. I though I was seeing David Blane.....
Brian Walbey: That was the one bit I wasn't up to sorting properly Rob apart from a shadow.
tongue tongue tongue Love it Brian
Brian Walbey: I was hoping you would Bill, it was a spur of the moment inspiration as I was doing the shop.

This is a wonderful portrait of our dear colleague Brian!
Brian Walbey: And the great thing is that he likes it Chris, I presume he will continue to speak to me from now on.

he balances well on that curb as well Brian

Nice one mate grin
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Tony.
Bill looks like he is on the verge of falling backwards.
Brian Walbey: I think he'd been down the pub Chad smile
You almost fooled me Brian. Well done indeed!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
LOL.. I though the Duke was real for a moment! I like the name of shop; they deserve to do well.
Brian Walbey: I couldn't resist this Alan, and fortunately Bill has taken with a big laugh.
I bet he would have had a ball in there. Nice one Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, I bet quite a lot of us would have had a good time in that shop, all those things we like that we could get for our grandchildren.

I love the levitation. It makes it for me.
Brian Walbey: That aspect of the picture hadn't struck me before some of the comments you good folk have made Mary.
Very well done Brian..I see it caused a few laughs.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ron, Iwas hoping it would raise a smile or two.

looks an interesting shop
Brian Walbey: I never went inside Conrad, but yes,it does look interesting.
ha, ha, ha! How apt, very clever of you to spot this. I don't think he was really there, with or without the shadow, because he looks awfully unbalanced on the white kerb. Perhaps you should nudge him forward just a little.
Mind you, I don't know what he had for lunch!!
Very well done Brian, very clever.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sheila, I tried several different positions in the picture, perhaps a bit more to the right would have been better.
Old Bill is game for anything ... bet he loved this.

richard
Brian Walbey: I was pleased to say that it seems he did Richard, he is still giving me nice comments today anyway.
Took me a while to realise then I read the text, nice one Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Les.

Bill must like such a shop and such a pic, for he is still the type 'great boy' with a passion for toys like model railways, model cars..., I have the feel his heart is just jumping so highly for fun that he is almost falling backwards! But you have prevented that- thanks to you!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, at least he took it in good part me having a bit of fun at his expense.
Looking for an Action Man, and you found one.
Brian Walbey: The word "action" might be a bit of an overstatement Martin smile
