photoblog image Church Flowers

Church Flowers

This was taken in the same window as my posting on the 16th.March at a local church's Flower Festival, but this was a couple of years later.

The design of the arrangement seemed to call for a portrait presentation, and I did play with it in my Tint Editor programme but decided to leave it as a straight shot.

It is gorgeous, Brian! The light through the paned window is delightful.
Brian Walbey: I like this particular window very much Ginnie, I done another shot from another year yesterday which I will post soon.

The person who did this arrangement did a nice job, you did these flowers so much proud with this excellent picture, the lighting through the windows and the shadows on the wall are so well captured.
Love it.
Brian Walbey: There is an argument that I am only showing someone else's art Astrid, but I do like this picture myself.

A stunning photograph Brian, that really does the beautiful display justice. I love the lighting and shadows at play.

Exquisite
Brian Walbey: I must have been near this window at the right time for the lighting Paul, thanks for your comment.
What a wonderful display Brian. The light/shadow play is superb. You captured it very well!
Brian Walbey: THanks Richard, I done another shot from the following year which I will post another time.
A wise decision Brian. This needs no help from any twiddle. A lovely still life and the light and shadows are great.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, I did like the twiddled versions, ie a watercolour type finish, but the original seems to be popular.
A beautful shot. I love the shadows too.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Pat, I think, in part, it is the effect of the sahadows that helps make the picture.
A fine shot Brian
Brian Walbey: Thamks for your kind comment Chris.

I'm glad you left it as it was Brian - I'm sure you wouldn't have been able to improve on nature! The light coming through the window is just superb.
Ingrid
Brian Walbey: I always seem to be at this window at the right time of day Ingrid. I am posting one from a year later shortly.

The light and shadow of the window across the flowers really adds to the image. Beautiful colours.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie, the shadows are a very strong part of the picture I feel.
