Thats just cruel showing me that Brian. ...:-(
Brian Walbey: Sorry Frank, it was a good evening out, £20 for two round trips on the steam hauled train, Fish and Chips on the first run and a sweet on the second.
Fortunately that doesn't appeal at all to me... but you've got my husband drooling... smile
Brian Walbey: Oh dear, does that mean Frank only gets fish and Chips when he comes back to the U.K.
I want some!!!
Brian Walbey: I'm sure you would have enjoyed them Ray. It was a good evening out, £20 each for two round trips on the steam hauled train, Fish and Chips on the first run and a sweet on the second.
Je ne suis pas très attirée par ce genre de menu.
Brian Walbey: Very much a British item Martine.

What a fine thing to do!
Brian Walbey: It was a good evening out, £20 each for two round trips on the steam hauled train, Fish and Chips on the first run and a sweet on the second. I think quite a few heritage lines are doing this now.
i would have liked to take a look at the gravy (i think), but this is mouth watering as it is, Brian.
Brian Walbey: It wasn't Gravy Ayush but a tub of Mushy Peas is you are familiar with those. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mushy_peas

Oh, nothing might beat a fish & chip, but, sorry not for me.
Brian Walbey: As you know very much a British item Philine, altogether it was a very good evening out.
I think all of us have sat up and taken notice, Brian. HA!
Brian Walbey: Not a good choice for Philine, Elizabeth and Martine so far but I can imagine you and Astrid, with all your vsitis over here would enjoy eating good old British Fish and Chips.

My mouth is watering, and it is only breakfast time, Brian
Brian Walbey: Sorry about that Lisl, it's lunchtime as I type this, a bit tempting to nip down the Chippie smile

That is some big fish there, Brian. I hope you had Maureen with you to share it wink....
Brian Walbey: It was a good Fish and Chip supper, this was for one person, we had one each, followed by a sweet.

Nice (pun intended) posting! I see the Becks is over halfway - you should check the missus while you are fiddling with the camera.
Brian Walbey: Maureen knows she would be out of order if she touched my Becks, I'd have been forced to pinch some of her chips smile
Looks good Brian!
Brian Walbey: It was Bill. It was a good evening out, £20 each for two round trips on the steam hauled train, Fish and Chips on the first run and a sweet on the second. I think quite a few heritage lines are doing this now.

That looks a very fine fish and chips Brian, one of my favourite meals. Was it good?

There is ONE good thing about the railway then.
Brian Walbey: It is one of the most popular heritage railways in the U.K.and onyl a short drive from home. They do evening dining trains at weekends but they tend to be a bit expensive.

Ooo yummy! though I could manage without the mushy peas smile
Brian Walbey: I'm not a Mushy Pea fan but as they were there I managed to force them down smile
It looks reasonably edible, considering that it is railway food!
Brian Walbey: It was all bought in from a local chippie down the road, there must have been at least 70 - 80 people on the train, everything was most efficiently done.

Funnily enough I've just had a fish & chip lunch with my cycle club chums; it was only the bike ride that spoilt the day! Oh.. and the mushy peas; I much prefer non-mushy peas.
Brian Walbey: I'm not a Mushy Pea fan but as they were there I managed to force them down smile
This reminds me of the delicious fish & chip dinner I was served at a lovely London restaurant when I was there in October, Brian. The accompanying cider was excellent as well.
Brian Walbey: Every country has its delicacies and specialities and one of ours is Fish and Chips, I'm glad that which you had was enjoyable, but too much of some sorts of Cider can make one feel a bit jolly!
