Stapleford Park Country Fair Extra 1/2

The first of two ‘front-end’ shots of cars in the classic vehicle display at Stapleford Park. MOU 778L is a Model P6 Rover (named as the 2000, 2200, or 3500, depending on engine displacement) and is a saloon car produced by Rover and subsequently British Leyland from 1963 to 1977. The P6 was voted European Car of the Year in 1964, the first winner of the title.

We are off to Tewksbury tomorrow until Tuesday ready for the meeting on Monday, back here on Wednesday all being well, if you're looking in at my blog during then enjoy some shots from Grasmere.

An understated clasik.

A much loved car in its day

A very desirable car of its time. My dad had a Rover 90; nothing like this, of course, but fine vehicle. I'm staying in Malvern tomorrow for two nights.

When Britain had a car industry!
Brian Walbey: Well one that made British cars anyway.
