Stapleford Park Country Fair 3/7

Besides the miniature railway at Stapleford Park there was an extensive country fair so a few shots from that this week. This old AEC 1967 Routemaster RML 2672 London Bus converted to a Fish & Chip Bar was doing good business, we decided not to take advantage of it as we passed by.

Oh that looks like great fun!
Brian Walbey: I'm sure it was, it was far too early in the day for us to have Fish & Chips etc.

J'aime beaucoup ce vieux bus rouge.
Brian Walbey: Being put to very good use.
I like the cafe upstairs...smile
Brian Walbey: I thought it to be a good way of using an old bus.

It is put to a good use
Brian Walbey: It is. It was far too early in the day for us to have Fish & Chips etc.
It looks like you can even eat on the upper level, Brian, with lamps. How cool is that!
Brian Walbey: Yes one can, we didn't go up there but what a fine way to use an old london bus.

Oh, this is a nice idea to convert this Red Bus to Fish & Chip Bar.
Brian Walbey: It is. It was far too early in the day for us to have Fish & Chips etc.

Do they just cater for weddings, or can you get married on board, Brian?
Brian Walbey: I suspect it's just the food part Lisl.

What a great idea this is, Brian. There is that thing with food-trucks now all over the Netherlands, what an eye catcher this would be.

Come on summer, come on! The woman with the umbrella is a wise person.
Brian Walbey: Fortunately the umbrella wasn't needed that day apart from keeping the sun off.
Not only Fish & Chips but Pie & Mash and Burgers are on offer as well, Brian. A varied menu.
Brian Walbey: A menu not designed for healthy eaters smile

it does look good and the food option probably makes it more appealing, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Plenty of choice but too early in the day for us.
what a wonderful take away bus Brian... i'm sure that it would be hot to sit on the second deck for lunch....petersmile
Brian Walbey: It would have been hot on that particular day.

Now there's a good idea. Fish & chips would be just right for me. I wonder if they still serve these on the no. 36 route? smile I like the upstairs seating; just right for rainy days.
Brian Walbey: I'd rather see the bus like this than it be lined up in a row ready to be scrapped.
A classic bus Brian

It is never too early for fish and chips
Brian Walbey: I wouldn't argue with that thought although we decided against it that day.

It looks rather elegant, Brian.
Brian Walbey: A good use for a fine old London bus.
