Grasmere Lake 4/5

As you will have noticed from the postings in this series so far the weather we ‘enjoyed’ for our visit was far from brilliant, dull and damp sums it up. The photos for series this were all taken at the Faeryland Boat Hire centre a short walk from the centre of Grasmere which comes complete with a tearoom. We didn’t take tea but just enjoyed an ice cream, it looked to be one of those places where only paying customers were welcome in the grounds!

Great composition!! All those leading lines really draw the eye inside! Love the names on the boats.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bonnie.
A very nice shot, Brian...I think you'll find that in most places in the Lakes.
Brian Walbey: THanks Frank. I guess people have got a living to make.

The water looks beautifully clear Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is Chad, and it was very still that day.

J'aime bien les noms des bateaux.
Brian Walbey: I wonder who thought they were suitable names.

That's exactly my feelings about the place, too;. On principle, I feel like buying the cheapest possible thing just so I could take a few photos and then get tea and cake where I feel more welcome. Its a lovely shot despite what you say about the weather.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan. They do have a living to make of course as long as it is done in a polite fashion.
They have to make a living Brian grin
Brian Walbey: I guess they have Bill.
It doesn't matter about the weather as far as your photos... they've been really wonderful!
Brian Walbey: That's a very kind thing to say Elizabeth, thankyou.
