Coniston Village 4/5

Coniston War Memorial is listed at Grade II for the following principal reasons: its historic interest: as an eloquent witness to the tragic impact of world events on this local community, and the sacrifice it has made in the conflicts of the 20th. century; its architectural interest, an ornate wheel-head cross enriched with carved decorative details and it is a most striking design with fine lettering.
