photoblog image Studland Bay 6/7

Studland Bay 6/7

Round the headland from the bay I've featured all week there is a smaller bay closer to the Old Harry Rocks. This is the view out towards the rocks from there, although the change in perspective means they are not as visible as in the earlier bay area.

Still nice though and a complete contrast to what we have here in Bath today
Brian Walbey: Yes it is nice Chris, unlike the flurries of snow I keep seeing out of our window as I type my comments today1
I guess these beach chairs could take the place of your usual bench.
Brian Walbey: These beach chairs, or deck chairs as they are called over here, can be found in virtually every seaside place round our coast, people even have them to use in their gardens. When my Dad was a young man he went to a woodwork evening class at the school I went to and made two of these chairs, we only got rid of them because the canvas got so old it was unsafe to sit on them.

Oh, the deck chairs look very inviting to enjoy this wonderful view on Old Harry and his family. I am sure that you and Maureen took seat on them. In my kitchen a photography of Old Harry has been pinned up at the buffet cabinet.
Brian Walbey: WE didn't sit in the deckchairs but did linger for a while, it is a very nice spot.
Too crowded for me, Brian...smile
Brian Walbey: I bet it's not liek that during the school summer holidays.

a pleasing composition with he deckchairs and lobster pot. Barely a ripple on the water.
Brian Walbey: We were so lucky that afternoon, everything fell into place really nicely.
I like this image very much. It speaks of summer vacation to me!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth, it was a lovely spring day in mid-May.
But, is not the water in those parts a bit chilly?
Brian Walbey: Chillier than it would be in Italy Claudio but not too bad in midsummer where this is, ont eh south coast of England.
