photoblog image Studland Bay 5/7

Studland Bay 5/7

I wandered about along the shoreline after an excellent lunch in the tearoom looking for some alternative views of the bay and the Old Harry Rocks and came upon this convenient, and somewhat sparse, tree with the branches growing just right for me to frame the rocks. This was, I felt, the best of the several I took.

An the shadow of the tree helps.
Brian Walbey: It holds the picture together in that otherwise blank area.
You have an eye for perfect compositions, Brian. Gorgeous!
Brian Walbey: There were several trees but the idea worked best with this one. I do try my best with composition even if some oft he other technical requirements aren't always the best.
here this looks a bit more like our beaches.
Brian Walbey: I guess it does Claudio from pictures I've seen, we've only been inland to Lake Garda and not to the coast.

I like your viewpoint very much. I feel that one winter storm and that tree will be gone.
Brian Walbey: There are quite a few trees like this, probably they have got long roots after all these years.
A good natural frame, Brian.
