Clumber Park 1/7

Clumber Park is a country park in the Dukeries near Worksop in Nottinghamshire. It was the seat of the Pelham-Clintons, Dukes of Newcastle. It is owned by the National Trust and open to the public. The park is listed Grade I on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. After our hotel break in October we called in for a few hours at the park, sadly, as this picture shows, it wasn’t the best of days, just like most of our breaks last year!

Plenty of colour and action here, Brian...stop complaining! smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray. The colour here has been aided by Viveza 2, part of the NIK Collection, a very handy tool.

J'aime beaucoup les couleurs des arbres.
Brian Walbey: They benefited from some enhancement of the colour values to be honest.
What a brilliant color to those leaves!

The colours are good in spite of the weather, Brian

But look at the various trees "outstanding in their field," Brian. I'd be in heaven.

A little tonemapping can make those clouds contribute hugely to the picture.

I like the red hues to the trees. When motorsport had a proper RAC Rally, Clumber Park was often one of their stages. It always seem to be wet, though - or cold - or cold and wet!
Brian Walbey: You mean the weather was much the same as it was the day of our visit smile
Looks nice to me. I see blue sky with the clouds.
Brian Walbey: Using a software tool helped to bring out the colours, including the blue sky.

That is an outstanding colour and the green is very nice too. What an amazing picture here, Brian.

Always worth a visit.
Brian Walbey: Only the second time we'd been there but apart from the dull weather we enjoyed our visit, had it been better we might have walked round the woodlands a bit more.
Always our first leg stretching stop on our way to The Lakes and points north, Brian. I look forward to seeing more than the Avenue off the A1 and the bacon roll van at the entrance!
Brian Walbey: I'm presuming you don't actually go right into the park then Graeme. We go in from the other side to the A1.
