Clumber Park 4/7

In one section of the glasshouse we found this collection of old wooden wheelbarrows, each, apart from the foreground one, being crammed full with an eclectic mix of different types of Pumpkins. Indeed when we returned to the main visitor area later on we found a host Pumpkins for sale as it was only a few days before Halloween, and presumably they had all been grown in the glasshouse.

i quite like the wooden, painted wheelbarrows, Brian
Brian Walbey: They must be very old and well past their usefulness as mobile items.
They make for a nice picture, Brian. The colour of the foreground one is great!
Brian Walbey: I tried several different angles for these and liked this the best although I have got a colour pop of a single barrow and its Pumpkins coming up which I think works quite well.

Pumpkins and wheelbarrows make a wonderful still life, Brian.
Brian Walbey: They do indeed Ray, I have got a colour pop of a single barrow and its Pumpkins coming up which I think works quite well.
Nice shot! A good variety of gourds!
Brian Walbey: All sorts that I haven't seen before.

Voilà  de quoi faire de bonnes soupes.
Brian Walbey: So many different types so quite a few different flavours of soup I should think.

This looks as if they are trying to cash in on the Halloween craze
Brian Walbey: It was just before Halloween, there was a lot of the standard Pumpkins for sale at the visitor centre.

I expect they were very robust and useful in their day Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed but they must be very old and well past their usefulness as mobile items.
Makes a good pic Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. I tried several different angles for these and liked this the best although I have got a colour pop of a single barrow and its Pumpkins coming up which I think works quite well.
I love the pink flowers sneaking into the greenhouse.
Brian Walbey: Although it was a cold and dull mid-October day they still had the side windows open so the flowers were probably trying to find somewhere warm.

Oh, this is a fine autumnal image with al lthe pumpkins and the wheelbarrows.
Brian Walbey: They are really old fashioned wheelbarrows, they maust have carried tonnes of 'stuff' in their time.

I can't imagine that they got very far in those wheelbarrows. Funny how the "celebrations" move on through the year. Yesterday was St Valentines Day, today all that has been swept aside and now Mother's Day items are cards are out then it will be easter...
Brian Walbey: They are really old fashioned wheelbarrows, they maust have carried tonnes of 'stuff' in their time. I've not got much time for Halloween, another American import!
Beautiful framing and beautiful colors, I hope you did not have to personally fix all those wheelbarrows. smile
Brian Walbey: Lovely aren't they. I don't think those wheelbarrows are of much use any longer but they make a good subject for a photo.
