Church Wilne 5/5

To finish this quick look at the small hamlet of Church Wilne a shot I took whilst walking the perimiter around St.Chad's water which almost exactly 1 mile long and where our daughter, who lives not far away, takes Reggie, her Bulldog, for walks. He was 11 on Monday, a good age for a Bulldog, and a walk round the lake is just about enough for him these days.

Any pond that hosts cumbungi is a good pond!
Brian Walbey: It is a nice pond Ray, an ex gravel pit actually.
A very pretty place for a walk it looks like!
Brian Walbey: Indeed, my friend and I didn't walk all the way round but Maureen and I plan to when we go that way at sometime.
i think even for one round, Reggie would find stuff to keep his nose and brain occupied, Brian.
Brian Walbey: For a dog of his age he still sniffs everywhere like the best of dogs smile
A perfect place for dogs - and ducks.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Mary, Reggie does better than my friend and me, we didn't walk all the way round.

It all looks lovely Brian
Brian Walbey: It is a nice pond Chris, an ex gravel pit actually.
That is a good age for a bulldog Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Bill, he seems to be doing well at the moment and we are keeping our fingers crossed he is with us for a while yet, mind you he is well looked after, spoilt I think is the right word.

A tranquil shot, with a lot of sky (in the water). One thing about dogs is that they come, they grow, they go. My doberman female is showing faint grey around her muzzle at age 8.

Heh, I am not allowed by SC to use the standard word for a female dog. Maybe they think she will be insulted.
Brian Walbey: I know what word you mean Louis, I actually think it is quite an unpleasant sounding word for the female of any species.

I'm sure Reggie looks forward to his walk. I would have thought a mile was good walk for him regardless of his age.
Brian Walbey: Reggie doesn't really look forward to walks these days but given time, bearing in mind his age, he still manages to do what is asked of him.

What a lovely place to walk around with a dog - I like your composition very much with all the reflections.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, thsi lake is not far from where our daughter lives and I think she takes Reggie there quite often.
A lovely peaceful shot, Brian - one could gaze on it for hours.
Brian Walbey: When barry and I visited we had the place almost to ourselves, mind you it was a midweek afternoon so people were at work and kids at school.
